Hamahon is a platform for the referral network of service providers managing cases related to gender-based violence against women and children. It provides access to accurate public contact information and supports professional development for service providers. In this document, “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to The Asia Foundation (TAF).
Child Safety Standards
Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
The Hamahon application, published by The Asia Foundation, strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on our platform.
Prohibited conduct
We prohibit any content, behaviour, or activity that involves CSAE, including but not limited to grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion, child trafficking, and the creation, solicitation, possession, or sharing of CSAM. This applies to all users and affiliates, without exception.
Reporting concerns
Any user can report suspected CSAE or any child safety concern through the app’s feedback/report option or by emailing our designated child safety point of contact below. Reports are reviewed promptly and treated confidentially.
Response to CSAM
Upon obtaining actual knowledge of CSAM, we take appropriate action in accordance with these standards and applicable law, including the swift removal of the material and preservation of relevant information for the authorities.
Compliance with child safety laws
We comply with applicable child safety laws and regulations and maintain a process to report confirmed CSAM to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the applicable regional authority.
Governing policy and consequences
All users must comply with the TAF Child Protection Policy, Code of Conduct, and reporting process. You can review the full policy at asiafoundation.org/publication/child-protection-policy. Any breach will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of platform access, internal investigation, and referral to law enforcement for criminal consequences.
